I’m Jess Segura—a Colombian-Canadian product designer, illustrator, and mentor now based in London.
Born and raised in Montréal 🇨🇦 as a second-generation Colombian, I’m fluently trilingual, which has shaped how I connect with people and approach design across diverse perspectives. My ability to connect across languages and cultures has been an anchor in my 8+ years working across B2B, B2C, and enterprise projects in North America, and now the EMEA.
I started my career in customer operations, where I discovered a knack for solving problems and improving workflows. That experience sparked my self-taught journey into design, blending creativity, empathy, and accessibility to craft solutions that resonate with users and align with business goals.
My journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Mental illness, chronic pain, and undiagnosed ADHD have all been part of my story, but they’ve also fueled my creativity and resilience. These experiences have shaped my human-centred design philosophy, driving me to focus on inclusivity and accessibility in everything I create.
In 2023, I made the leap from Montréal 🇨🇦 to London 🇬🇧 with my senior rescue dog, Archie, by my side. Since then, I’ve been diving into new opportunities, blending my love for tech, quirky illustration, and user-centred design. Whether I’m crafting music tech interfaces, intuitive CRM tools, or helping teams bring their ideas to life, I’m all about creating experiences that work well and feel meaningful to the people who use them.

With over 8 years of experience across music and audio interfaces, CRM tools, UX research, and UX copywriting, I create accessible and innovative user experiences that truly resonate. My career spans multiple industries, from tech startups to SaaS, where I’ve honed a self-taught, empathy-driven approach to design.
My journey into product design has been shaped by personal challenges, including mental illness, chronic pain, and undiagnosed ADHD. These experiences have taught me resilience and how to leverage creativity in problem solving, enabling me to transform obstacles into innovative design solutions that prioritise empathy and accessibility.
In 2023, I made the move from Montréal to London, bringing my Korean rescue dog, Archie, along for the adventure. This transition has opened the door to new opportunities, and today, I continue to blend my passion for tech innovation, quirky illustration styles, and user-centred design. Whether I’m building music technology interfaces or designing user-friendly CRM tools, my goal is always to create designs that go beyond functionality and make a meaningful impact on people's lives.
