The Problem

Users wanted faster access to their favourite stations, especially during routine moments (like commuting or cooking). But the app required multiple taps to get to live radio.

The Fix

We built an iOS widget that brings radio playback and recommendations straight to the home screen.

Integrated live playback, "Now Playing", and one-

Designed for multiple widget sizes and iOS dynamic states

Created adaptive layouts for both favourites and recents

Collaborated closely with devs to ensure performance and real-time updates

The results

Cut time-to-play in half and made live radio one tap away, becoming a daily habit for 1% of users.

Live Widget on Home Screen

Users can now launch their favourite station instantly from their iOS home screen. The widget dynamically updates with "Now Playing" info, adapting to the user’s recents and favourites for seamless access—no need to open the app.

App Store Preview & Campaign Feature

The widget launch was featured as a major update in the App Store. We highlighted the new home screen integration as part of our ongoing push for personalisation and reduced friction in user flows.
